Aiken Citizens Review Board Hears Complaints in City Hall
The Aiken Citizens Review Board met at the Municipal Building for its third session since forming in 2016 amid a federal lawsuit over a 2014 roadside stop. The meeting opened to executive session to discuss employee matters and reviewed six closed cases against the Aiken Department of Public Safety as of July. The next session is set for 6 p.m. Thursday Sept 21 in room 204.

North Augusta Planning Commission Approves Subdivision and Site Plans
North Augusta planning members approve Hammond's Ferry 4A major subdivision on 15.75 acres with 47 lots and Sweetwater Commons phase 3 site plan on 11.3 acres with up to 66 multifamily units. A Walnut Village mixed use concept by Meybohm Realtors was reviewed. Street name change to Market Plaza Drive approved for Austin Graybill Road. Unanimous approvals also given for two street abandonments near Five Notch Road and Georgia Avenue and near Clay Street and West Martintown Road.
