A Sept. 8 lecture at Birds & Butterflies features Dr. Whit Gibbons of the University of Georgia Savannah River Ecology Lab. He uses live regional snakes to teach identification and safety with a $4 fee and required reservations at 803-649-7999.
The St John United Methodist Church Prime Timers Travel Group tours Charlotte on Sept 10. A luncheon at The Speedway Club, behind the scenes tour and a track lap are on the program with a riding tour of the city. Cost is 115 per person. reservations due by Aug 25.
