Aiken bus shop finds no defects linked to fires

Woman dies in two vehicle crash on Highway 1
Elizabeth Seymour, 62, of North Augusta, died at the scene after being ejected from a pickup cab in a two vehicle crash on Highway 1 near Satcher Ford. The white Ford F-150 she rode in failed to yield, colliding with an oncoming truck driven by a Graniteville teen. Walter Floyd was the other driver.

Drought Declared in Aiken Area Despite Rain
Officials report incipient drought in the Aiken region as water levels decline in the Savannah and Wateree basins despite a recent shower.
