Bobby Jones Expressway to cost nearly $100 million
State officials told Aiken County Council that completing the Bobby Jones Expressway through the county would require about 100 million dollars in 1997 dollars. The project spans seven miles and a Savannah River bridge with funding hinging on local matches, tolls, and state sources as developers seek to advance the long-delayed perimeter route around Augusta.
