Dirtier cheaper meth method gains traction
Feemster describes a one pot meth synthesis using a 20 ounce bottle that produces an ounce of meth for 2500 to 2800 dollars on the street. The process creates a gum like sludge filtered out and discarded along roadsides. Hazmat cleanups from Charleston, Columbia or Atlanta raise costs as labs are found. The method has become more common over three to four years though explosive risks remain.
