Voters May Use 3 IDs For August Primary Ballots
The state Election Commission reminds voters they may use three forms of ID to cast ballots in the August 2 primary. Acceptable IDs include a voter registration certificate, a valid state driver’s license, or a photo ID from the Highway Department. Voters registered after July 25 cannot vote in the primary. The commission notes absentee ballot requests are available and a voter’s immediate family or authorized representative may apply if needed. Denton Johnson of the Aiken County Registration and Elections office said extended hours will issue duplicate registration forms and register voters for elections past August 25.
