Parents of teen accused of rape face murder charges

In Los Angeles Raymond Wisecarver and Deborah Wisecarver were arraigned in Van Nuys Municipal Court on murder and conspiracy charges in the shooting death of Edward James Schreckengaust, 23, who was killed July 10 after answering his front door. Their 15-year-old daughter cried in court. a Sept. 4 preliminary hearing was set to determine if there is sufficient evidence for trial.

Wholesale prices slip 0.4 percent led by gasoline drop

US producer prices fell 0.4 percent in July as gasoline prices plunged 19.3 percent offsetting higher food costs. Over seven months 1986 wholesale prices are down 6.2 percent annually with food rising 1.9 percent driven by poultry beef and pork.
