Chamber welcomes new Aiken County teachers at reception
The Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce and sponsors hosted a welcome for new Aiken County School District teachers at the Washington Center for the Arts. Council approves funding for depot project in Aiken
The Aiken City Council voted 5 to 0 to add 250000 to a student recreation depot project, funding streetscape lighting curbing and sidewalks and the installation of a train caboose as part of a railroad themed park at Union Street and Park Avenue. Man arrested on warrant for possession of counterfeit goods
An Aiken man, John J. Genideau Ill, 33, was arrested on warrants from Aiken Public Safety for two counts of possession and sale of goods with counterfeit marks. The investigation linked stolen goods in New Ellenton to prior incidents of counterfeit footwear, with federal agents later directed to confiscate the shoes.
