The Aiken County Sheriff's Office investigates nearly two dozen vehicle break-ins across Graniteville and North Augusta Sunday. Deputies logged 17 calls. 20 vehicles were entered, some homes seeing multiple entries. North Augusta incidents centered on Lake Greenwood Drive and nearby streets. Graniteville incidents targeted Fairway Drive Fairmont Drive Bastian Court and Ackerman Drive. No arrests as of Tuesday. Many victims reported rummaged glove boxes or consoles with some thefts of money or cards, others nothing taken. Many owners left vehicles unlocked. others were unsure. Authorities urge locking doors and removing valuables.
