Tropical storm Bonnie and Hurricane Hurri threaten South Carolina
Tropical Storm Bonnie in the Gulf of Mexico was projected to bring heavy rain and strong winds across the CSRA and Florida Panhandle before tracking into Georgia and Upstate South Carolina. A second system, Hurricane Hurri, was expected to follow, warning of a two part wet and windy weekend for the state.

Charley Storm Track Shifts Toward Charleston
The system once expected to roll over the CSRA is now forecast to pass Charleston on Saturday. Jane Charley was projected for a second landfall on the upper South Carolina coast after crossing Florida and moving up the East Coast. Beech Island man dies in single car wreck
Reggie McCorkle a 29 year old of Beech Island died in a morning crash after his 1997 Ford Explorer veered off North Silverton Street struck a utility pole and overturned he was not wearing a seat belt and was partially entrapped officials said. McCorkle was pronounced dead at the scene from severe head trauma around 8 am.
