Woman Arrested After Burglary Wearing Owner’s Clothes
A Warrenville woman, Darlene Moore, 41, was arrested on suspicion of first degree burglary after entering a residence on Howlandville Road wearing the homeowner’s clothes. Deputies noted a broken window and locked door, Moore claimed she had lived there 41 years and was held at the Aiken County Detention Center. A separate report describes vandalism and theft at an Edgefield Highway hotel with a missing TV and suspicious security footage. An elderly man caused a multi-vehicle crash on York Street near Croft House, resulting in $20,000 damage and a ticket for careless driving. police will review nearby video footage.
