Johnny Logan, Braves and Pirates star, dies at 86
Four time All Star shortstop Johnny Logan who helped the Milwaukee Braves win the 1957 World Series died at 86. The Brewers said he passed Friday at Clement J Zablocki VA Medical Center after a 13 season career with the Boston Milwaukee Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates. He hit .268 with 93 homers and 547 RBIs and later scouted for Milwaukee.

Dogs in alleged Anderson puppy mill found behind rusted fences
Authorities in Anderson County discovered up to 200 dogs living behind rusted enclosures with algae filled water at a suspected puppy mill. The owner’s name was not released, but he agreed to surrender the animals Friday. Maj. Garry Bryant said a dog with parvovirus from a flea market purchase was euthanized and officers work on a makeshift shelter to prevent disease spread.
