Nurses Care license plate funds SC nursing scholarships
Columbia AP reports South Carolina will issue a license tag reading Nurses care to raise 75 dollars every two years with 45 dollars directed to the South Carolina Nurses Foundation. The group aims to fund scholarships of at least 1000 dollars for each of the state's 22 registered nurse programs amid a nurse shortage projected to reach 15000 by 2015. Georgetown AP notes Waccamaw Neck residents switch to wells as saltwater intrudes the river intake. Greenville landscaper killed cutting tree at home
Stanley R. Murrell, 53, owner of Greenville Christian Landscaping, died after a tree he was cutting fell on him at a Greenville home. He was working with another man when the incident occurred, Greenville County authorities said.
