Melissa A. Matheson a 76 year old Wagener resident died in a two vehicle crash early Saturday on a secondary road at the intersection with South Carolina 394 in Ofeetrasong Ye. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said four people died on state highways that weekend.
A crowd of 8000 to 10000 teens at Fashion Mall in Kansas rushed the stage to see Luke Perry of Beverly Hills 90210. Twenty one people aged 8 to 39 were injured, many with cuts bruises some with possible broken bones. The mall closed for about three hours while police cleared the area.

The FBI 1990 Uniform Crime Reports show the nation’s capital as the murder capital and Miami posting the highest violent crime rate. Total violent crimes rose to 732 per 100 000 with murder up 8 percent and other violent crimes increasing notably.
