Hampton Preston Mansion Updates Balance Slavery Narrative
Historic Columbia updates the Hampton Preston Mansion exhibit to tell a fuller Columbia story from the antebellum era through Reconstruction. The guided tours feature tablets and panels about enslaved people, including two 19th century portraits, and two second‑floor tableaux on Jim Crow era history.
