Fun in the Sun Blast to aid NICU at MCG Center

Shirley Laborde organizes a charity event at Lic A Dee Split Ice Cream Parlor on Augusta Road Bath. On Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm activities include classic car and motorcycle show in, Elvis impersonators, silent auctions, waterslides, inflatables, contests and Thunder doggers. Proceeds benefit the NICU to fund a third ECMO machine for infant care.

Augusta Tango Club promotes Argentine tango in CSRA

Steve Neely, president, forms the nonprofit Augusta Tango Club in January 2006 with 29 members to spread Argentine tango from Augusta to Aiken. The group hosts monthly dances, meetings on the second and third Thursdays at Tap Tap Tapas & Tacos, and charges $25 for members and $12.50 for students to access milongas and lessons.
