South Carolina Threatens Action in Firestone Recall Phase

South Carolina Attorney General Charlie Condon warned of legal action if the state is not added to the first phase of a Firestone recall. Bridgestone Firestone announced a voluntary recall of all Radial ATX and Radial ATX II tires in size P235/75R15 produced in North America and Wilderness ATs, with replacements at no charge. The plan spans three phases and follows 270 complaints prompting an NHTSA investigation.

Student enrollment to hold near 25,000 in area districts

Leaders of Aiken County public schools expect little change in student numbers for the next school year. Preliminary data suggest Area One may rise slightly, Areas Two and Three may dip a little, while Areas Four and Five stay about the same.
