Algonquin Hotel cat fashion show charms New York
The Algonquin hosts its feline fashion show presided by Hamlet VIII, the hotel’s resident cat. Four legged models strutted the red carpet in Ada Nieves designs to raise funds for Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals, with tickets at 75 dollars and a live auction. Organizers expect over 19 thousand dollars, aided by a Roaring Twenties theme and several named cats including Frank Sinatra the black rescue. Hamlet VIII, descended from Rusty, guards the front desk as guests mingle and cameras flash for the event.
