Aiken man charged in fatal hit and run case
Samuel Cheatham Jr. 28, charged with hit and run duties resulting in death, driving under suspension second offense, improper passing and alcohol beverage control violation after a fatal collision on Wagener Trail Road. He is held at Aiken County detention center with court appearance set for Sept. 8.

Second Rider Dies In U S 1 Collision In Aiken County
A motorcyclist died Sunday after a crash on U S 1 at Jefferson Davis Highway and Duncan Road. The 25 year old Trenton man was not wearing a helmet. he died at Augusta University Medical Center at 7 20 p m. The Ford driver David Rainey 58 wasn’t hurt and the crash remains under investigation.
