Public Safety officers sworn in with family orientation in Aiken
Lt Matt Braxton addressed families at a swearing in ceremony as new officers prepare for duty. Chief Barranco offered his cell number and urged understanding of the risks, noting two officer deaths spurred family outreach. Officers-in-training will finish fire academy and start shifts likely in May 2015 under Lt Jake Mahoney. Teddy Kulmala reports on the Aiken Standard crime beat.
