Teen creates mural as going away present for church
Kayla Gifford, 16, a Grace Brethren member and Aiken Christian School student, plans to attend the Governor’s School in Greenville in the fall. Over the summer she is painting a six by six foot mural of Jesus with a baby and child in a green field for the church hallway near the children’s nursery, as a meaningful farewell gesture. She has also completed a smaller mural in the Helping Hands clothes closet and hopes to leave a lasting contribution after 16 years of attendance.
