Beech Island resident Tommy Bellamy 28 was arrested after resisting deputies during a trespassing arrest at a Pinelog Place home. He allegedly kicked a deputy and grabbed a belt before being stunned and detained at the Aiken County detention center.
Two Aiken males faces trespassing and firearms charges after a Columbia County school was placed on soft lockdown Friday. Aaron Lott age 17 and William Hawkins age 18 were charged with crimes involving a firearm on school property and trespass, with two other adults identified but not charged. The incident began after a Snapchat video showing a handgun being discharged from a vehicle. Police say the suspects were tracked from Palm Drive in Aiken to the area of Old Evans Road and Bobby Jones Expressway, with a joint investigation by Aiken and Columbia County authorities.
