Armed robbery suspects sought in Aiken County case
Aiken Public Safety seeks help locating Maurice Council 22 of Aiken on two counts of armed robbery and two counts of kidnapping. He is accused of robbing two people at gunpoint on Hill and Columbia Avenues July 23. Xavier Matheney 21 was arrested for involvement. Crime Stoppers contact 888-274-6372. A separate incident at Graniteville Recreation Center left a 19 year old woman robbed at 12:30 am. suspect described as 18-25, 5 foot 4, 150 pounds, orange shirt. A trespass warning issued to a 67 year old man after disturbance at Goodwill on Pine Log Road.

A 14 year old girl was detained for shoplifting fake fingernails on Whiskey Road. An unknown man attempted theft of khaki shorts and a T shirt on York Street. A purse was snatched from a woman on Hampton Avenue with documents inside. Two boys damaged a mailbox on Schroder Street and were returned to parents. A Belvedere man was detained for disorderly conduct after sleeping on a curb near Jefferson Davis Highway with vodka odor. A Windsor woman reported mailbox damage on State Park Road. Two air conditioner units were reported missing on Croft Mill Road. Vehicle break ins occurred on Ashley Circle and Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta and Silver Fox Way. A burglary on Kirkland Blizzard Road in Salley reported jewelry missing.
