Aiken Public Safety asks the public to identify a black male seen driving a stolen 2014 Dodge Charger in the Walmart lot on Richland Avenue July 15. Detective J Hembree says the car was reported stolen that evening. Call CrimeStoppers at 888-274-6372 for anonymity and possible $1,000 reward.
Rashad Doe Sr., 39, was charged with cruelty to children after a July incident in North Augusta. He was booked in the Aiken County detention center and released on a 1,087.50 dollar bond. Deputies investigated allegations of a physical assault on a 15-year-old at Emerald Drive with visible injuries.
Marti Healy's The Childernot Tales, designed by The Design Group Press of Aiken, earns a finalist medal for general fiction design in the Next Generation Indie Awards. The book and prior works have won multiple honors and media attention.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office reports a mix of calls including an unlawfully excessive 911 use claim by a Summerhill Court resident, a domestic disturbance on Jefferson Davis Highway, a homeless man charged with disorderly conduct on Richland Avenue, a suspended license stop on Seymour Drive, and several thefts and break-ins across Aiken and surrounding areas with additional reports of drug activity and suspicious behavior.
