Marijuana Patches Burned by Bamberg Deputies
Bamberg county sheriff deputies burned three 150 square foot patches of marijuana found in the Clear Pond community. Sheriff A L Strickland said no arrests have been made. The discovery came from wildlife officer Otis L Sandifer of Denmark while pursuing game violators. Plants were seeded in rows ten inches apart and six inch intervals.

Watershed Work Plan Gets Help in South Carolina
Senator Thurmond announced that the Soil Conservation Service will assist local groups in South Carolina to prepare a watershed work plan under the Water Shed Protection and Flood Prevention Act.
