Senate approves Mark Menezes as deputy secretary of energy
The U S Senate confirmed Mark Menezes as deputy secretary of energy in a 79 to 16 vote. He previously led as under secretary and will run the department alongside Energy Secretary Brouillette, directing operations at labs including Savannah River and within the National Nuclear Security Administration. His swearing in is expected at a later date.
