SRS tritium facilities deemed vital for NASA mission
National Nuclear Security Administration official says replacing the century-old Savannah River Site tritium facilities is essential to sustain U.S. weapons programs. The Tritium Finishing Facility is in early design with cost estimates of 305 to 640 million dollars and completion targeted for 2029 to 2031, as upgrades modernize aging infrastructure and ensure secure tritium supply.
