Myrtle Beach AP The South Carolina State Ethics Commission will discuss allegations that Atlantic Beach Councilwoman Carolyn Cole used her office for personal gain. The Sun News reports the panel found probable cause to hear 10 counts stemming from a February complaint by former Councilman Jake Evans alleging Cole wrote checks totaling 23485 to herself without council approval to satisfy an unpaid debt not in the 2012 budget.
