AYP Results Highlight Statewide Education Challenges
State Superintendent Dr. Jim Rex calls AYP a roller coaster as 2010 scores show only 13 of 184 high schools meeting all goals. In Aiken County none of seven high schools approached AYP, with four elementary and two middle schools removed from the school improvement list after two or more years failing.
