Mother sues bowling alley after teen’s fatal shooting
In Greenville a mother sues Tri City Lanes claiming the business failed to protect 17 year old Kejuan Brown who was shot outside the bowling alley as four armed suspects confronted him. An employee said doors were locked before the shooting and the alley was to close at 10 p.m. Meanwhile in Charleston a man was killed by gunfire on James Island and no arrests were reported.

Shareholders approve merger plan for troubled SCANA
About 100 SCANA shareholders met in Columbia to approve the plan to sell the utility to Dominion Energy. The deal values SCANA at about $72 billion including assumed debt and would create a 18 state energy group serving roughly 65 million accounts. Dominion offers about $1 billion in customer rebates and about 7 percent rate cuts, with $1.7 billion of remaining project costs written off.
