Three men charged after North Augusta convenience store robbery

Three men were arrested Saturday morning on armed robbery and kidnapping charges after robbing Eubanks Country Convenience Store at 598 Storm Branch Road North Augusta around 4 a.m. They used a store clerk as a shield during the getaway. A 16-year-old juvenile was later turned in by parents. An officer aided a large manhunt with 50 officers and bloodhounds.

Hopeland Gardens Concert Series Opens with Fort Jackson Band

Weekend Accidents Kill Three in Aiken County

Coroner reports three people died in separate weekend crashes in Aiken County. Two 20 year olds, David McBrier Lock and Kenneth Lee Hall, died when Lock's car left S C 118 near the Vaucluse crossing and struck a tree. Hall was thrown from the car and died of multiple trauma. A 37 year old man died on Old Storm Branch Road while traveling toward S C 421. his name is being withheld pending notification. Speed was cited in the Lock crash. the other crash cause is under investigation.
