Clearwater Seeks Help In Water Fight

About 20 unhappy customers of the Clearwater Water and Sewer District met Friday night to hear why water bills will rise and what can be done. The rate hike, mailed with this month’s bills, follows a 1984 tie with the Valley Public Service Authority. Palmer says VPSA overcharged Clearwater, proposing a move to drill a local well or annex with Burnettown. Garbage fees rise to 6 dollars, fire protection to 2, and the 911 system will require payment for protection starting in 1988.
