Eleven plead guilty in Upstate mail fraud scheme
U S attorney says 11 residents admitted guilt in a $1.8 million check fraud conspiracy led by 41 year old Hope Mitchell and associates. Others named include Dorothy Mitchell, Martha Johnson, Robert Johnson, Melanie Mitchell, Wendy Rice, Richard Lipscomb, Derek Mitchell, Derrick Sinclair, Wesley Hall and Lisa Stafford. The group used fake IDs to open accounts, bought high value items, and split profits.
