Former Carlisle Tire worker receives probation for plant fire
Danny Fields of Trenton, 30, was sentenced Monday by Judge Gerald Smoak after pleading guilty to starting a fire at the Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co plant. Indicted for attempted arson in December 1998, the fire caused minimal damage and no plant threat. Investigators say a November 1998 blaze caused hundreds of thousands in damages but Fields is not linked to that fire. Arson experts have not yet determined the November blaze cause.
