Phillies Complete Sweep as Braves Drop Sixth Straight
Cesar Hernandez sparked the rally with his fourth homer as Philadelphia hitters connected in the eighth to power a 5-2 win over Atlanta. Odubel Herrera and Alterr Altuve followed with back to back homers after Michael Saunders doubled to start the frame, giving the Phillies a three homers inning for the first time since 2008. Eflin allowed one run in seven innings, Rodriguez earned the win, and Neris closed despite bases loaded in a tense ninth. Braves now ride a six game skid as Kemp and Foltynewicz deliver early offense and solid longer starts.
