Spain performs world first full face transplant claim
Vall d' Hebron Hospital in Barcelona says a 30 member team completed a full-face transplant for a Spaniard patient in late March, replacing the entire face from hairline to neck with a single graft. The operation lasted 24 hours and leaves the man unable to speak or eat yet shows a near normal appearance with minimal scarring.
