Miracle transplant saves Mona Martins life and career
Mona Martins survived a July 1989 bone marrow transplant after GVHD nearly killed her. Her recovery included thalidomide therapy under Dr. Vogelsang at Johns Hopkins, medical setbacks, and a return to school with plans to write. She vows not to give up and will be honored with a May diploma and a CBS 60 Minutes interview.
