A chilly Saturday wind did not deter residents from the annual Earth Day Aiken event on Newberry Street. The free family festival featured educational exhibits and vendors from across the state at the Newberry Street Festival Center. Elise Fox, chair of the Energy and Environmental Committee, noted the planning effort involved many meetings but praised the turnout and community involvement.
