A 14-year-old boy admitted dousing a puppy with gasoline and lighting it with a cigarette in Spartanburg. The dog Smokey died nearly three weeks after the Feb 6 incident. The boy apologized in court, saying it was the wrong thing to do. the prosecutor said the boy threatened to harm the dog to obtain a video game from his 12-year-old brother.
