South Carolina unemployment falls below 10 percent
South Carolina's jobless rate drops to 9.9 percent in March, the first sub-10 percent reading since December 2008. Lexington and Marion counties post low and high rates as the state adds roughly 24,000 jobs year over year while the labor force shrinks. Governor Haley credits business outreach and a trained labor pool as factors in the improvement.
