South Carolina pilot of the year 2006 is awarded to a radiology department worker at Westinghouse who volunteers with Angel Flight Southeast. The recipient, praised for a willing to help attitude, has flown missions to Florida and Virginia aiding patients in need of medical care. He began flying at age two, earned his license in 1980, and joined Angel Flight six years ago. He recalls a 2001 trip to Atlanta to pick up a Salvadoran baby headed for MCG, noting the child's recovery as the most rewarding aspect.
