Wild horses up for adoption in North Augusta event

Wild horses and burros arrive by truckload from federal land for adoption at Hip Podrome under Bureau of Land Management guidance. About 100 horses and 50 burros to be available with walk up participation possible. Feds Boost Sage Mill With 4.5 Million Infrastructure Aid

The DOE and Department of Commerce will provide 4.5 million to Sage Mill Industrial Park for water sewer and electricity. The 1100 acre site north of Graniteville near Bettis Academy Road and I 20 will host SKF USA Inc building a 269000 square foot plant for automotive hub units, a 123 million investment employing about 250 workers.

DOE to transfer 4.5 million to aid Aiken County

The DOE will move 4.5 million to the Commerce Department’s EDA to grant to Aiken County under a worker transition plan. The interagency agreement will involve EDA review of DOE community proposals and the Savannah River Diversification Initiative with praise from Senators Hollings and Thurmond for potential regional impact.
