Imprisoned in Cuba after Bay of Pigs professor returns to meet Castro
Auburn University agriculture professor and former Bay of Pigs prisoner Diego Gimenez recalls his 1962 release from Havana as he advocates limited trade with Cuba. He urges reconciliation of four decades of poverty and distrust, noting U.S. embargo effects and Cuban resilience. He and others see trade as path to better Cuban living standards.
