Aiken Magistrate Presumed Drowned in Savannah River
Aiken County Magistrate Glen Holley is presumed drowned after falling from a boat while fishing on Friday night in the Savannah River. Coroner Joe Ridgeway confirmed the incident. Wildlife officer J. Cleave Thomas was present. A search continued into Saturday but was halted at dusk and slated to resume today.

Couple Cleans Up With Hotel Scam
A federal grand jury indicted Keith W. Froemming and Joan M. Atwell on seven counts of conspiracy mail fraud and bank fraud for allegedly bilking Holiday Inns in about 20 states. They allegedly sent fake cleaning bills after claiming coffee spilled on a suede skirt, wiring more than 200 checks totaling over 6000 dollars to a private post office box in Vail.

PLO Military Chief Khalil al Wazir Killed in Tunisia
Seven masked commandos stormed the Tunis home of Khalil al Wazir known as Abu Jihad killing him two bodyguards and a gardener. Al Wazir fired back but was riddled with about 170 bullets. The assassination sparks cross border clashes and protests across the occupied territories leaving at least 162 Palestinians dead. Israeli forces also killed a soldier and a civilian as curfews were imposed on refugee camps amid the worst violence in months.
