North Augusta woman killed in car wreck at Clearwater
A collision at Highway 1 and Belvedere Clearwater Road in Clearwater killed 66 year old Fannie Simmons of North Augusta Sunday afternoon. Simmons died at 2 36 p m at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. The crash happened about 12 45 p m as a 1994 Ford SUV traveled north on Highway 1 and struck Simmons in her 2000 Toyota four door. The driver of the Ford was uninjured. The case remains under investigation by the S C Highway Patrol and authorities urge witnesses to call 641 7657.
