Connecticut repeals anti adultery law
Governor Weicker signed the repeal of the Puritan era adultery statute which carried up to one year in prison for marital outsiders. The law remains on the books until October 1. Adultery will still be listed as grounds for divorce. Four arrests occurred last summer after complaints by betrayed spouses.
