Drowning Near Bar Highlights Canadian Visitor's Death
A 63 year old Canadian man, Michel Melanson, drowned in a pond behind a Little River bar and restaurant in Horry County. Rescuers pulled him from the water around 9 30 a m Saturday and an autopsy confirmed drowning. The coroner noted he had been seen at the pond edge hours earlier and had been staying at a nearby golf club with friends.
