A caretaker’s cottage foundation was laid with a Security Federal Bank loan as reenactors fired rifles and cannons and a Palm Sunday service was led by Rev. Tom DiMarco. The building, likely the oldest public structure in Edgefield County, dates to 1784 and awaits major renovations to become a small museum and event site.
