Close GOP money race in South Carolina governor bid
In the second quarter Henry McMaster leads fundraising for the GOP primary with 430 078 dollars, closely followed by Andre Bauer at 397 978 and Gresham Barrett at 393 161. Barrett holds the cash on hand lead with 1.6 million versus 1.4 million for Bauer and McMaster. Nikki Haley reports 192 394 for the quarter and 530 023 on hand. Barrett’s cash advantage suggests a seven figure ad outlay ahead. Haley has enough for credible campaign momentum. Ford reports 31 650 raised and 52 953 on hand. Rex and Sheheen hadn’t filed by deadline.
