USC Aiken chose men's tennis player Ben Klass as the USCA Athletic Department Student Athlete of the Week after a 6-0 6-0 win over Limestone’s Henrik Nordquist at No. 5 singles in a key region victory. Ann Carter set a meet record at the Carolinas Invitational with 19.47 in the short hurdles and won the 100 meters long jump and discus at UNC Charlotte. Cindy Niland of Aiken Golf Club scored her first hole in one on No. 16 from 145 yards with witnesses Bill Kerrigan Bob Dusch and Raymond Smith.
